RANAU: A house in the village was destroyed in a fire in Kg Kilimu early Tuesday. Ranau Fire and Rescue Chief Ridwan Mohd Taib said the incident happened around 7.40 a.m. According to him, the Ranau Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) received an emergency call at 7:56 a.m. via the MERS999 line.
âA total of nine firefighters and two devices were mobilized on the scene for extinguishing and rescue operations. “Upon arriving at the scene, which is located 6 km from BBP Ranau, firefighters discovered that a non-permanent house was almost completely burnt down,” he said. He said firefighters carried out the operation using a single jet with two jets coming from the machine’s water tank.
“Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control in less than an hour and the operation was completed once all locations were completely secured,” he said. He said no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.
