While Ironhide Games caused a stir last year with its tower defense / real-time strategy hybrid Iron Marines ($ 2.99), but we can’t forget that they’re also responsible for three of the best action tower defense games: the Kingdom rush trilogy. These three games have been well maintained by Ironhide over the years, and last week they set out to support iPhone versions of each with full screen support for the iPhone X. Of course, it took Ironhide as 6 years old to finally release a universal version of a game with Iron Marines, so chances are if you are an iPad Kingdom rush player you don’t know and don’t care that an iPhone X update is available for these games. And it’s good ! Look away folks from the iPad!
For us iPhone gamers, these updates Kingdom rush the games look really good on the full screen of the iPhone X. In fact, I haven’t played any of these games in a few years, so it’s a good excuse to come back. If you are not really familiar with the Kingdom rush series and looking for tips, you can check out our review of the original Kingdom rush for iPad since 2011. It was about six months before there was an iPhone version. This first game is free too, so you can always download it to get a feel for what it looks like (and because it’s still fantastic even all these years later) and if you like it and want more, check out our review of Kingdom Rush Borders as well as our review of Kingdom Rush origins for even more tower defense goodness.
